The 23rd IEEE Workshop on SPI is organized at the Convention Center “Le Manège” situated in downtown Chambéry, close to the cultural center “Carré Curial”.
Hotels, restaurants and transportation stations are very easy to reach from the Convention Center “Le Manège” by short and pleasant walks (between 1 and 10 mn).
About Chambéry, France…
Chambéry is situated in French Alps, in the Savoie Region, well known for many ski resorts (Courchevel, Val d’Isère,…) and for the Mont-Blanc (4810 m – 15,800 feet). The “roof of the Europe” is climbed from Chamonix by many mountaineers during summer and winter.
Chambéry is also surrounded by nice lakes, like the Bourget Lake and the Annecy Lake.
Major cities around Chambéry are Lyon (France), Geneva (Switzerland) and Torino (Italy).
Chambéry is a historic city, capital of the Savoie from the Xe century, with an old downtown and many pedestrian streets, shops, and restaurants. Savoie is also celebrated for its wines and its famous cheeses made in the mountains.
The weather is mild or hot in Chambéry during June, temperatures are between 20°C and 30°C.

Two airports can be used to reach Chambéry:
- Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport (France)
- Geneva Airport (Switzerland*) (* obtaining a Swiss visa maybe required.)
These airports have very good transit links with main European hubs such as Paris CDG, London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Amsterdam Schiphol, Zurich.
Comfortable shuttles link directly from these airports to Chambéry (around 1 hour):
- From Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport : each 2 hours from 5:30 am to 8:30 pm
- From Geneva Airport : 6 travels per day from 9:30 am to 11:45 pm
Shuttle tickets can be bought at the station counter or with the shuttle driver.
The arrival station of shuttles is situated in the downtown of Chambéry, near all hotels and the Convention Center.

High speed trains (TGV) can be used to reach directly Chambéry from:
